Demi's Point Of View We had just arrived in Havana, Cuba. What a beautiful place, where I don't want to be at. I want to go back home more than anything but I'm just going to keep my mouth shut, My father found a new job here so we transferred here. I bit my lip & peeked out the car window, I smiled at the people walking down the streets of Havana. I don't really understand why Castro would want to start a revolution; I've heard so many things about Cuba. Like for starters, I heard you could get arrested for talking bad about Castro. It's not like I have anything to say about that man anyway. The cab parked in front of the fancy Cuban hotel. I stepped out first, followed by my younger sister Selena. Two attractive looking bell boys took our luggage to our room. I could tell Selena was excited to be here, she loved Cuban boys with hot accents & cool dance moves. After only about 10 minutes of being our hotel room, Selena wanted to go out. I was sitting down on the edge of my bed, I looked up from my novel & spoke, "Where is it that you are going?" She looked up from shaving her long tan legs & smirked. "I'm going to the pool, with some friends." I gave her a confused look, what friends? "What friends are you talking about?'" "You don't know them, Demi." I rolled my eyes, then looked back down at my book. She finished shaving then left the room. After awhile of being alone I decided why not go for a little sightseeing. El Gallito del Son performs "El Teléfono" at Las Palmas in West NewYork, NJ - August 29, 2010. Jorge Alberto Gonzalez was born in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. He is both a vocalist and composer. In 1988 he formed his first musical group called "Juventud 2000" which performed in different cities throughout Cuba. The group flew to Barcelona in 1996. Their tour continued through the cities of Arabia, Italy, France, and Mexico. They come to know the great Cuban singer and composer Compay Segundo with which they shared the stage on many different occasions. Compay teaches them the importance of El Son Cubano and its significance for future generations of musicians. They then meet Polo Montanez which marked for them a new era of composition encompassing the old and the new. They arrived in Miami in 2002 where they shared the stage with the biggest of the Son singers, Israel Cantor. The group then baptizes him as "El Gallito del Son" forming a new group with a traditional sound. Later on, "El Gallito del Son" worked with el Maestro Cachao; they shared experiences of Cuba and its music. El Gallito del Son y Su Grupo's music is heard on the radio, they have participated in different programs on television, El Carnaval de La Calle Ocho, in La Liga Contra El Cancer and are winners of El Premio Ambiente.
